Breeding Stock | About Our Livestock Guard Dogs

At WW Livestock Guard Dogs, we offer both Great Pyrenees puppies and Pyrenees/Anatolian crosses.

Great Pyrenees are beautiful hard-working guardian dogs. They are intelligent dogs with great eyesight and a keen sense of smell. They have a beautiful thick white coat that insulates them in the winter and protects them from the sun in the summer.

We run them on our place with sheep and goats and have sold numerous dogs with positive guardian results. We have sold two as pets and both have made true companions. My daughter-n-law, Fawn, has trained her dog and received Therapy Dog status. She takes him to nursing homes and schools.

We work with our dogs from the time they are born. They are easily handled, but they are not made pets. They are raised with the sheep and goats and travel with and learn from their mothers.

We are a small operation, so we can easily monitor the pups progress. We give the pups their immunizations and de-worming regularly. We do not give a rabies shot, as most of our pups are sold before theyare sixteen weeks old.

We also sell Pyrenees and Pyrenees/Anatolian crosses.

Anatolians are also wonderful guardian dogs. They carry a short to a rough coat with colors ranging from white, or fawn, to grey with dark points. These dogs are great for our Texas terrain and climate because of their shorter coat.

Anatolians are instinctively protective dogs that are loyal and loving to their families.
